Mao Hunan or Mao Jian is an excellent example of good quality Chinese organically grown tea. The small tea leaves and buds picked by hand in early spring are twisted into a spiral after picking and roasted. Roasting stops oxidation and guarantees the beautiful green color of the tea.
The tea leaves are deep green when dry and lighten to bright green when brewed. When brewed, this tea produces a pale green drink that smells mildly grassy. The taste is vegetal and slightly sweet. Mao Hunan is particularly suitable to be consumed after a meal due to its effects that speed up digestion.
Green tea has a lot of flavonoids and L-theanine. They help with stress, calm and improve concentration. L-theanine also produces pleasure. Green tea helps the stomach function and speeds up digestion.
