The tea produced in the Darjeeling region of India in the Himalayan mountains is known worldwide as a particularly good black tea. The first teas of the harvest season are called the champagne of the tea world, and Darjeeling TGFOP is far from that quality. TGFOP stands for Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe, one of the higher grades of Indian and African black tea.
Darjeeling TGFOP produces a pale drink typical of the region, which is tangy and aromatic. Tea grown in the Darjeeling region is rich in antioxidants and L-theanine, which calm the mind and stomach.
This tea is best sipped slowly. Black tea contains tein, i.e. caffeine in tea, so it might not be the best choice for an evening drink if you are sensitive to caffeine.
