Forsman's organic Japanese Matcha Genmaicha tastes nutty and rich thanks to the roasted rice, green tea and mixed matcha powder. The taste has also been compared to popcorn, and therefore Genmaicha is also known as popcorn in various contexts. The mouthfeel is soft and the aftertaste is very lingering.
Matcha Genmaicha is also known as matcha-iri genmaicha.
As a food drink, this tea goes well with soups, rice, fish, shellfish, vegetables and nut crackers.
Steep in 70-80°C water for 1-3 minutes.
Green tea contains a lot of L-theanine, and because it contains matcha, you get a much larger dose of it than other green teas. L Theanine relaxes, relieves anxiety and improves concentration. Matcha also helps with weight control and has a lot of immunity-boosting antioxidants.
