BOX 2: Forsman’s Story

  • Forsman Tea is a leading producer of loose-leaf tea in Finland. The company was founded by Aaro Forsman in 1979, because for a regular consumer, good quality tea was almost impossible to come by. The work continues to this day, and the message and knowledge of good tea is still being spread to more people. The tea selection consists of the common favorites, unique blends, and unflavored quality teas.
  • A lot has changed through the decades, but one thing has remained the same since the founding of the company – the core ingredients still come direct from the producers in their countries to Finland. All tea blends are made according to our own recipes and packaged by our workers in our factory in Vantaa. Everything that can be done by us in Finland, is. The fewer middlemen there are, the better for product quality, our environment, and the wallets of our customers. We believe in staying close to the origins of our tea and nurturing our relationships with the workers and communities there above all else.

  • Product Lines: We pack our teas in four different lines. We have 60g and 100g packing lines and a 1kg wholesale packing line for loose leaf teas. The most recent addition is our automated eco-friendly pyramid bag/mousseline bag machinery, allowing us to offer our premium loose leaf products in tea bags for those who prefer the convenience of tea bags.
